The 27th Haryana State Games 2025 concluded today with the closing ceremony of the Canoeing Event held at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh from November 5 to 7, 2025. Players from across the state delivered outstanding performances, showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
In the final results, Sonipat emerged as the top performer in the men’s category, securing 10 gold and 7 silver medals. Players from Jhajjar followed closely with 8 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Gurugram bagged 7 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals in the men’s events, while the women’s team from Gurugram brought laurels to their district by winning 11 gold and 4 silver medals.
Karnal secured 2 gold and 1 silver, while Panipat earned 4 gold medals in the men’s category. Fatehabad also impressed with 6 gold medals, and Jind’s women players stood out with 6 gold medals, making their district proud. (Results from Rohtak are awaited.)
Overall, the 27th Haryana State Games reflected a vibrant display of talent and competitive spirit, with Sonipat, Gurugram, and Jhajjar leading the medal tally and leaving a lasting mark on Haryana’s sporting legacy.
The closing ceremony was graced by Himat Singh, Chairman, HSSC, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour included Ranjan Sethi, Director of British School Chandigarh and Treasurer of Chandigarh Olympic Association, and Pradeep Yadav, Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner.
Among other dignitaries present were Dr. Rakesh Malik, Director of Sports, Panjab University; Moira Singh, Executive Member, IKCA; Deepak Kumar Singh, Deputy Director, Chandigarh University; Sunil Ranga, Deputy Advocate General; Satyawan Singh, Director Competition; technical officials from IKCA, and the supporting staff. The event was successfully organised under the guidance of Manjeet Singh, Treasurer, Haryana Olympic Association.
The ceremony served as an inspiring finale, celebrating the energy, dedication, and sportsmanship of Haryana’s athletes, while strengthening the state’s rich sporting heritage.
