Two cloudbursts struck the Kalalgisar area of Bhalesa in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district on Wednesday following heavy rainfall, triggering flash floods and debris flow that blocked several roads and cut off multiple villages.

Officials said the region has been witnessing continuous heavy rain, prompting the administration to closely monitor the situation. The persistent downpour has also increased the risk of landslides and further disruption to road connectivity.

The sudden flash floods carried large volumes of mud, rocks, and debris, severing access to several villages in the Bhalesa belt. Authorities said road restoration work will begin only after weather conditions improve and it is safe for teams to operate.

Meanwhile, the administration has advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas until road links are restored. People have also been urged to strictly follow official advisories and safety instructions as heavy rainfall continues.
