Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today attended the Grand Finale of Himachal Dance Championship- Season 3, organised by Live Times TV at Gaiety Theatre, Shimla.
Appreciating the organizers, the Chief Minister said that such events provide a required platform for the youth to showcase their talent. He urged the younger generation to stay away from drugs, adding that the State Government is waging a decisive battle against drug abuse and its illegal trade. “We are taking stringent and sincere measures to eradicate this menace from its roots,” he said.
The Chief Minister noted that the youth of Himachal Pradesh are bringing laurels to the State in every field. He encouraged them to keep moving forward with dedication to achieve their goals.
Shri Sukhu expressed confidence that Himachal Pradesh will become the most prosperous State in the country by the year 2032. He added that in the past two years, Himachal Pradesh has emerged as the number one State in several sectors across the nation.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also presented prizes to various participants and winners.
Present on the occasion were Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, MLA Harish Janartha, Principal Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Mayor Surender Chauhan, Vice Chairman HIMUDA Yashwant Chajta, Chief Editor Live Times TV Pankaj Sood amongst other dignitaries.
