Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday appealed to all eligible voters to complete their Enumeration Forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral rolls, urging citizens to verify their voter details to ensure accurate and updated voter lists.
Mann said Punjab has already achieved nearly 90% voter mapping, with the remaining work progressing at a war footing. He reiterated that the state government would not allow the deletion of any genuine voter during the revision process.
Under the SIR-2026 exercise, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been conducting door-to-door verification of electoral rolls from June 25 to July 24. Mann said BLOs are distributing Enumeration Forms to households and assisting voters in filling them out. He clarified that no additional documents are being collected, as the exercise only requires verification of existing voter details.
Chief Minister further explained that if a house is found locked during the visit, the BLO will leave an information slip and sticker before making at least three visits to collect the completed form.
Sharing the timeline for the revision process, Mann said the updated electoral roll will be shared with political parties through their Booth Level Agents (BLAs), while the draft electoral roll will be published on August 3.
He added that voters who are unable to submit their Enumeration Forms before the draft publication can still file their claims by submitting Form-6 along with a declaration form between August 3 and September 2. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on October 1, 2026.
The Chief Minister urged all voters to actively participate in the verification drive to ensure their names remain correctly reflected in the electoral rolls.
