CM Saini flags off nine breast cancer screening vans

These vans will provide health screening to nearly 75,000 women

When women are healthy, families thrive; when families are empowered, society and the nation are strengthened – CM

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-

On the occasion of PM Narendra Modi's birthday, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini flagged off nine breast cancer screening vans from Parade Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula. These vans will provide health screening to approximately 75,000 women.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said that on the auspicious occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, this initiative marks a significant step towards respecting women, safeguarding their health, and strengthening society. He congratulated Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma and Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma for this initiative.

The Chief Minister informed that each van functions as a mobile health check-up center and an awareness platform. It will reach thousands of women who, due to social barriers or lack of resources, are unable to access hospitals. This is an important step forward for women’s health, he added.

Highlighting the importance of early detection, he said that breast cancer can be conquered through timely diagnosis and proper treatment. This campaign will prove to be a milestone in promoting women’s health and awareness.

The Chief Minister also said that today PM launched the nationwide ‘Swasth Nari, Shashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ from Madhya Pradesh, which embodies the true spirit of social development. Women are the foundation of every family. When a woman is healthy, the family is healthy. When the family is empowered, society and the nation are also empowered, he said.

He said that this program will enhance awareness and expand access to breast cancer screening, particularly in rural areas where the disease often goes undetected until it is too late.

He also  urged all mothers and sisters to make full use of this facility. Never neglect your health. Only when women are healthy, your family be happy.

Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, former Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and Chief Minister’s Media Secretary Praveen Atreya were present on the occasion.
