On the first of the Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, which commenced here today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to those prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of this session.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who is also the Leader of the House, paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions.
These include Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Surinder Kumar Madan, former Minister of State, Anand Kaushik, former Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Sahil Khan, nephew of Mamman Khan, MLA; Kesar Singh, brother of Ram Karan, MLA; and Nirmal Deep Chattha, mother of Mandeep Chattha, MLA. The House resolved to convey its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan also read the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls. Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Aditya Chautala also read the obituary resolutions on behalf of his party.
The House also paid tributes to the brave soldiers of Haryana who displayed indomitable courage and made the supreme sacrifice while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation. These included Subedar Hiralal of village Akbarpur, District Mahendragarh; Subedar Dharamvir of village Birohar, District Jhajjar; Sub Inspector Akash Chaudhary of village Rudrol, District Charkhi Dadri; Havildar Harjinder Singh of village Mangoli Rangdan, District Kurukshetra; Havildar Jogender Singh of village Barkoda, District Mahendragarh; Naik Parveen Kumar of village Sheria, District Jhajjar; Naik Deepak Goyat of village Kaapdo, District Hansi; Sepoy Sudhir Narwal of village Sherpur, District Yamunanagar; Sepoy Jogender of village Mayyar, District Hisar; Sepoy Mohit of village Gijarod, District Jhajjar; Sepoy Sahil Meena of village Jadthal, District Rewari; Sepoy Manish Kumar of village Sulehra, District Jind; and Sepoy Surjit of village Dhukra, District Sirsa. The House saluted these brave sons of Haryana and resolved to convey its heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families.
