Haryana Minister of State Subhash Sudha, announced that the application deadline for the transfer of ownership of govt properties, which have been under rent/lease/occupation for more than 20 years, has been extended until September 30, 2024, by the Urban Local Bodies Department.
He stated that, according to the special policy created for all govt departments/ boards/ corporations/ authorities, the deadline for deciding on pending applications to sell their properties (shops/houses/other properties) through rent/lease for 20 years or more and for allowing new applications on the portal has been extended to September 30, 2024.
Sudha mentioned that no further extension will be granted after this period, and the disposal of all pending applications will be ensured within the timeframe set by the government. According to the new policy, there is a provision for transferring the ownership of government properties in possession of any individual or private institution through rent/lease for 20 years or more.
He informed that orders have also been issued to all District Municipal Commissioners, Municipal Corporation Commissioners, Executive Officers/Secretaries of Municipal Councils/Committees, and all related government departments in the state in this regard.
