Mobile phones were distributed to Anganwadi workers, supervisors and CDPOs in Gurugram
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, December 25-
Haryana, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala urged the officers and employees on the Good Governance Day to work on the field (in villages and urban areas) instead of only sitting at offices for the progress of the state and country. He said on the occasion of Good Governance Day, we should all take a pledge that we will honestly perform our duties so that the life of the common man can be made easier.
Chautala said this at a district-level Good Governance Day programme held in Gurugram. On this occasion, MPSirsa Sunita Duggal was also present. During the programme, mobile phones were also distributed to Anganwadi workers, supervisors and CDPOs in Gurugram.
“The actual Good governance is where departments not only reach out to the people who are unable to reach the administration but also fulfil their needs and resolve their grievances” says the Deputy Chief Minister.
He highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the state government is operating more than 600 services through the portal. Parivar Pehchan Patra has been made authentically as per the economic condition of the person and a person who has crossed the age of sixty automatically gets old age pension. Also the BPL card is issued to individuals with an annual income of Rs.1 lakh 80 thousand or less, and rations begin to be distributed, all this is a result of good governance.
Chautala said that Haryana is the first state in the country where BPL ration cards are being made for families with an income of Rs 1.80 lakh instead of Rs 1.20 lakh. Late Chaudhary Devi Lal had also started ‘Kam-ke-Badaley-Aanaj-Yojana’ 28 years ago, which has now taken the form of MNREGA.The government is trying to install micro ATMs at the ration depot shop, so that the common citizen can withdraw up to Rs.5,000 from there. The tax policy has been aimed in such a way that the inspector raj is no longer in effect. Today, the farmer sells his crop in the mandis in two hours and receives payment two days later.
On this occasion, MP Duggal said that the tradition of celebrating Good Governance Day was started by the Haryana government nine years ago on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the founder of Banaras Hindu University Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. The central and Haryana governments have gradually moved forward in the direction of good governance and made it easier for the common man to access government schemes and services.
She said that the government has done a commendable job by giving smartphones to Anganwadi workers who work on the ground. Employees and officers should always work in the interest of the common people and contribute to nation building.
