After 70 years of independence, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann led govt has undertaken a comprehensive initiative to strengthen infrastructure in government schools across the state such as smart classrooms, modern laboratories, playgrounds and integration of information technology to provide students with up-to-date educational facilities, said Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, after inaugurating buildings at seven schools in Jandiala Vidhan Sabha constituency today as part of the "Sikhya Kranti" initiative.
The projects, with a combined cost of approximately Rs.1.54Cr, include Govt Elementary School Dhirekot's boundary wall, anganwadi room and new classroom (Rs. 20.13 lakh), Government Middle School Dhirekot's boundary wall and new bathrooms (Rs.2.70 lakh), Government Elementary School Gehri's new classroom and bathroom (Rs.12.37 lakh), Government Elementary School Bhangwan's boundary wall, Anganwari room, RO water system and new classroom (Rs.20.63 lakh), Government Middle School Bhangwan's roof repairs (Rs.2.36 lakh).
