CHANDIGARH: SAD president and former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal has decided to approach Punjab and Haryana High Court after a Faridkot court rejected his plea for pre-arrest bail in the Kotkapura firing incident related to sacrilege of Guru Grnath Sahib.
The Faridkot court has already summoned former CM Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Badal in the Kotpapura firing case on March 23. SIT led by ADGP LK Yadav formed by High Court had submittted challan against Badals in the Faridkot for hatching conspiracy and ordering firing on peaceful protesters, The Sikhs were protesting against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in Behbal Kalan.
AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had already committed with the people of state to deliver justice in the cases of sacrilege.
