Said, Prime Minister stands firmly with Punjabis in difficult times

Punjab BJP Vice President Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa has thanked PM Narendra Modi for providing financial assistance of Rs 1600 crore in the dire situation created in the wake of floods in Punjab. Welcoming the announcement made by the Prime Minister after his visit to Gurdaspur district yesterday, Bajwa said that the Prime Minister listened seriously to the problems of the people of Punjab and felt their pain.
Bajwa said that after conducting an aerial survey of the areas badly affected by the floods, the Prime Minister held a review meeting in Gurdaspur to assess the damage and announced this financial assistance in view of the current needs of the people. He said that apart from holding meetings with Punjab government officials and party leaders, Sh. Modi also listened patiently to the farmers and flood-affected families.
Bajwa appealed to the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab to thank the BJP government at the Centre for this assistance instead of playing politics at this critical moment.
