US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added fugitive gangster Satinderjeet Singh, alias Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest. The FBI announced the move on September 28, 2026.
According to the FBI, Brar is allegedly the North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime group, which authorities say has been involved in targeted killings, shootings, extortion, kidnappings, drug trafficking and other violent activities in the US, Canada and elsewhere.
Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi have also been charged in connection with the June 2023 assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Sikh leader who was shot dead outside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia. The US indictment identifies the victim as “H.S.N.” and alleges that Bishnoi and Brar ordered the killing.
The development follows the July 2026 unsealing of three federal indictments under Operation Hardball, in which US authorities charged 37 defendants linked to India-based transnational organised crime groups. One of the indictments focuses on the Bishnoi enterprise and identifies Brar as one of its senior leaders.
US authorities allege that Lawrence Bishnoi continued to direct the criminal network from an Indian prison using contraband mobile phones and voice-over-internet devices. According to the indictment, the network was involved in alleged murders, shootings, extortion, kidnappings, drug trafficking and human smuggling.
The FBI said Brar is considered armed and dangerous and is believed to reside in California and parts of Canada. It has urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the agency.
The allegations in the US indictments are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
