Aman Thakur, a player from Himachal Pradesh who won a gold medal for India in the recently held Para-Badminton tournament in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, was grandly welcomed and honored today in a hybrid mode (both online and offline) ceremony organized in the seminar hall of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study. Aman Thakur is the son of an employee at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.
Several officials, staff, and journalist friends attended the ceremony. The program commenced with a welcome, followed by Dr. Jitendra Roy, Convener of the Scholars' Council, presenting a bouquet and an institute memento to Mr. Aman Thakur. Dr. Roy praised Aman Thakur's achievements in his speech, describing him as an inspiration for the youth. Following this, Institute Secretary Mr. Mehar Chand Negi conveyed his best wishes to Aman, calling it a significant achievement for the institute family.
Aman Thakur shared his experiences on stage, talking about his hard work, struggles, and achievements. His inspiring words left a strong impression on all attendees. Institute Director Prof. Nageshwar Rao, in his address, praised Aman Thakur and wished him a bright future.
