Ensuring Transparency and Fair Pricing in Mining Sector

Punjab’s Mining Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal, chaired a crucial meeting with key stakeholders from the mining and crusher industries. The objective was to gather valuable insights for developing a progressive mining policy focused on transparency, sustainability, and economic efficiency.

The meeting included representatives from the Crusher Industry Associations and Mining Contractors, who shared their experiences, challenges, and recommendations. Discussions centered on streamlining mining operations, curbing illegal mining activities, ensuring ease of doing business, and adopting environmentally responsible practices.

Goyal assured all participants that their suggestions would be carefully reviewed and incorporated into the upcoming policy. He emphasized that the Punjab Government is committed to a transparent and people-centric mining policy that ensures fair pricing of sand and aggregates while preventing revenue losses.
