Ridicules, AAP’s ‘shameless lies’ over fulfilling promises
Says, corruption has crossed beyond ‘extortionist limits’
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today ridiculed the shameless lies of the Aam Aadmi Party government claiming that it had fulfilled all its promises in four years instead of five.
He said, in reality these are four years of loot and betrayal and wasted opportunities with Punjab’s resources exploited, robbed and diverted for fighting elections in other states.
“The AAP government should also have claimed the credit for pushing Punjab down to the bottom on the Fiscal Health Index among all the states in the country”, he remarked.
“The AAP may have perfected the art of lying and bluffing everyone, but they cannot befool the people of Punjab anymore”, he said, while remarking, “yes the AAP had pushed Punjab into bankruptcy, no previous government did and turned Punjab into a jungle raj with gangsters ruling the roost”.
Pointing out to the AAP’s lies, he said, women of Punjab are yet to start receiving Rs 1000 monthly cash assistance even after four years of the government’s tenure, and still the government claims that it has fulfilled all its promises.
Warring said that the humongous amount of debt that the AAP government has taken and which will take generations to be repaid beats all records of the previous governments. He pointed out, the total debt of the state has crossed 4.17 lakh crores, while the state under AAP has fallen to the bottom on the Fiscal Health Index as revealed by the NITI Ayog in its recent report.
The PCC president particularly referred to the rise of gangster culture in the state with nobody feeling safe. He said that people did not feel so unsafe and insecure even during the days of terrorism, as they are feeling today.
Warring said, the problem of drugs had deteriorated further as the AAP had failed to curb it.
He also referred to the widespread corruption prevailing across the state that, he said, has even crossed the extortionist limits and that is the greatest achievement of the AAP it should be proudly owning up.
