Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya said that Shiksha Kumbh promises to be a symbol of educational innovation collaboration and empowerment, reviving education and ensuring its preservation with the timeless cultural and philosophical values of India. Strengthens our mission.
The Governor on Wednesday addressed the Center for Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Shiksha Kumbh-2023 (Race 2023) on the role of academic-driven startups in the economy in collaboration with NIT Kurukshetra, Department of Holistic Education, Vidya Bharati Institute and Sri Krishna Ayush University in the auditorium of NIT. He was addressing as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of Shiksha Kumbh (Race-2023) organized in the context of defining the scenario. Before this, he formally inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
In his address, the Governor said that the most important objective of Shiksha Kumbh is to create a favorable environment for the effective implementation of the new National Education Policy prepared under the efficient and strong leadership of the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi. National Education Policy-2020 is a historic reform in the Indian education system. It envisions a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education focusing on the holistic development of students. This policy encourages skill development, entrepreneurship and innovation from an early age in line with the objectives of Shiksha Mahakumbh/Shiksha Kumbh.
The Governor said that the new education policy is a game changer for creating startups. Therefore, implement the new education policy soon. The central government has decided to implement the new education policy by 2030, but the state government has decided to implement the new education policy in Haryana by 2025. The policy recognizes the importance of academic-driven startups in shaping the economy and fostering innovation. Shiksha Mahakumbh fulfills the goals set by the National Education Policy for innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development. He said that till the year 2014 there were around 800 start ups, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi now 1 lakh 16 thousand start ups have been formed. He asked the students to learn new technology and implement it. Regarding Vidya Bharti Institute, he said that this institute is implementing the education policy from the point of view of Indian tradition and is making progress in promoting start-ups.
The National Education Policy emphasizes a simple, flexible and multidisciplinary curriculum, which promotes creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It is a matter of pride for all of us that under a new initiative of the government, we are moving forward strongly to achieve success in the Vikas Bharat Abhiyan. Vikas Bharat Abhiyan is a transformative initiative aligned with the vision of Shiksha Mahakumbh/Shiksha Kumbh. Its objective is to promote the intellectual development of youth by focusing on holistic development beyond the achievement of academic marks. Under the leadership of Department of Holistic Education, education is not only for acquiring knowledge but also for developing individuals as excellent valuable assets in the society.
