Chief Minister communicated with farmers through audio conferencing

Farmers got Rs 175 crore in the 15th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the farmers of Haryana are making an important contribution in making the country self-sufficient in food grains by working hard. The present state government is friendly to the farmers. The Chief Minister was interacting with the farmers through audio conferencing under the CM's special discussion program here today.

He said, the government has given compensation to the farmers affected by the flood. A compensation of Rs 7,000 per acre has been given to the farmers who sowed crops again in the flood affected areas. The previous government used to give compensation amount of Rs 10,000 per acre to farmers for crops damaged due to natural disaster, which has been increased to Rs 15,000 per acre.In the last nine and a half years, the state government has given a compensation amount of Rs 11 thousand crores to the farmers, which also includes the outstanding compensation amount of Rs 269 crores from the previous government.

To generate electricity using stubble, biomass projects were started in Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Fatehabad and Jind, which are generating 30 MW electricity.Apart from this, stubble is also being used in making biofuel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the 2G Ethanol Plant at Panipat Refinery on August 10, 2022. After 2G, 3G plant has also been installed in Panipat Refinery, which will be the world's first refinery off gas based 3G ethanol plant. To ensure consumption of stubble in the 2G ethanol plant, additional incentive at the rate of Rs 1,000 per acre is being given.

 Farmers of the state set a good example of stubble management

The Chief Minister said that our farmers have set a good example of stubble management. Haryana has become an ideal state in stubble management. There have been fewer incidents of stubble burning in the state. Farmers deserve congratulations for this. Recently, while hearing a pollution case, the Supreme Court also asked the Punjab government to learn from Haryana to reduce the incidents of farm fires. There has been a decline of 36.4 percent in the cases of stubble burning in the state in Haryana, whereas in Punjab only a decline of 27.1 percent has been recorded. ICAR According to the report till November 22, 2,239 cases of stubble burning have come to light in Haryana, while 36,118 cases have occurred in our neighboring state Punjab.

Reward of Rs 1 lakh given to panchayats that do not burn crop residues

The Chief Minister said that a reward of Rs 1 lakh is given to those Gram Panchayats which move from the category of highly sensitive villages in terms of crop residue burning to zero crop residue burning category. Similarly, a reward of Rs 50,000 is given to those panchayats which move from the category of sensitive villages to the category of zero crop residue burning. He said that in view of the high consumption of water in paddy cultivation, 'Mera Pani Meri Virasat' scheme has been launched to encourage crops with less water consumption in its place. Under this, a grant of Rs 7,000 per acre is being given for diversification of paddy fields from other crops.
