Haryana CM expresses condolences on the demise of Harmel Tohra

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday visited village Tohra in Patiala district, Punjab to offer condolences on the demise of Sardar Harmel Singh Tohra, former Punjab Cabinet Minister and father of Punjab BJP State Secretary Kanwarveer Singh Tohra. Haryana BJP State President Mohan Lal Badoli also accompanied him.

The Chief Minister met the bereaved family members, including the late leader’s two sons, and consoled them. Expressing deep sorrow, he said that late Harmel Singh was a respected and popular leader of Punjab, who always remained connected with the people and was known as a dedicated public servant.

“During his political career, late Harmel Singh achieved remarkable heights and earned immense love and respect from the people of Punjab. His memory will always inspire us. I am confident that his sons will carry forward his legacy of social service and commitment to the welfare of the poor,” said the Chief Minister.

He prayed to Waheguru Ji to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family and admirers in India and abroad to bear this irreparable loss.

 Defacing of Mahatma Gandhi’s Statue in London is Unfortunate: CM 

 While speaking to the media in village Tohra, Saini termed the incident of defacing the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in London as unfortunate. He said that Mahatma Gandhi is an icon of India who, by following the path of non-violence and peace, compelled the British to leave India.
