Focus on Trade Expansion, Technology Collaboration and Skilled Workforce Mobility

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a high-level meeting with Denis Alipov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to India, at Sant Kabir Kutir in Chandigarh, aiming to further deepen bilateral cooperation and unlock new opportunities between Haryana and Russia.

The meeting began with a review of the long-standing and trusted partnership between India and Russia, with both sides expressing optimism about expanding collaboration at the state level. A key focus remained on boosting Haryana’s export potential to the Russian market. The Chief Minister highlighted Haryana’s growing strength in sectors such as IT, automobiles, textiles, agro-processing and manufacturing, stating that the state is well-equipped to meet global demands.

Both leaders discussed measures to simplify trade processes, overcome logistical barriers and improve market access for businesses. They also explored investment opportunities that could support export-driven growth and strengthen economic ties.

Emphasizing direct engagement, both sides underlined the importance of business-to-business interactions, exchange visits and joint industrial forums. These initiatives are expected to create a strong platform for companies from Haryana and Russia to collaborate, innovate and build long-term partnerships.

Ambassador Denis Alipov praised Haryana’s MSME sector for its vital role in industrial growth and employment generation. He acknowledged the state’s skilled workforce as a major strength and stressed the need to create smoother pathways for Haryana-based enterprises to enter the Russian market.

Discussions also covered emerging areas of science and technology, with the Chief Minister highlighting Haryana’s rapidly growing startup and innovation ecosystem. He invited Russian institutions and companies to collaborate in high-impact sectors.

Skilled manpower mobility, academic exchanges and institutional partnerships were also key highlights of the meeting. Both sides agreed to promote student exchange programmes and strengthen ties between universities and research centres.

The Chief Minister reiterated Haryana’s commitment to fostering global partnerships through progressive policies, strong infrastructure and an investor-friendly environment. He also invited Russian businesses to actively participate in the state’s growth journey.

Senior officials including Rajesh Khullar, Amneet P Kumar and Pawan Kumar Choudhary were also present during the meeting.
