The Haryana government has taken a major step towards making the administrative system fully digital and transparent by launching two new citizen-centric services for residents and farmers across the state. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the ‘Haryana Online Building Plan Approval System’ digital platform and also rolled out a facility to send J-Forms directly to farmers via WhatsApp.

Addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas, the Chief Minister said farmers will no longer need to visit commission agents to collect their J-Forms after selling their crops. The government had announced on April 25 that J-Forms for wheat, mustard, and gram sold at MSP during the Rabi procurement season would be sent directly to farmers through WhatsApp.

According to the government, till May 6, around 5.78 lakh farmers sold their produce in mandis across Haryana, and nearly 13.77 lakh J-Forms were issued to them. This is the first time such a digital facility has been introduced in the state.

The Chief Minister also transferred Rs 2,115.41 crore directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries under 24 different welfare schemes. A total of 58.87 lakh eligible beneficiaries across the state received the benefit through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Saini said the Haryana government is committed to strengthening transparency, reducing middlemen, and ensuring faster delivery of public services through digital governance initiatives.
