Haryana has introduced an SMS alert system for three important processes related to the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), or Family ID, to keep citizens informed about updates to their family records.
Under the new system, SMS notifications will be sent to registered mobile numbers when an Enrolment ID is generated, a Family ID is created, or a new member is added to a family in the PPP database.
Dr Satish Khola, PPP State Coordinator at the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority, said the initiative was launched on the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The objective is to improve transparency and ensure that citizens receive timely information about changes to their family records.
Since the details recorded under the PPP system are important for families, the new facility will help them stay informed whenever a new member is added to their records. Similarly, alerts regarding the generation of an Enrolment ID and the creation of a Family ID will help citizens confirm the completion of the respective processes.
The SMS alert facility is expected to reduce uncertainty and unnecessary confusion among citizens regarding changes to their Family IDs. The initiative is part of the state's efforts to make the system more transparent and citizen-friendly by ensuring that families are promptly notified of important updates.
