Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao today held a public hearing programme at her official residence in Chandigarh. During the session, she listened to the problems of citizens from various districts and directed the concerned officials to resolve them at the earliest.
A delegation from Bhiwani expressed gratitude to the Health Minister for the approval of 100 new MBBS seats at Pandit Neki Ram Sharma Medical College and for the decision to begin the admission process from this academic session itself. The representatives said that this step is a significant achievement in the field of medical education in the state and will particularly benefit local students.
In addition, representatives from various villages also presented demands related to development works in their areas before the Health Minister. These mainly included construction or repair of village ponds, panchayat bhawans and dharamshalas, construction of boundary walls for sports stadiums, and provision of sports equipment for players.
Health Minister assured the rural representatives that the government would seriously consider all their demands and ensure necessary action. She said the primary objective of the state government is to provide better health facilities to the people of the state and to further accelerate the pace of development in rural areas.
