On Hindi Journalism Day, Governor congratulates the People of the State

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of the country and the state on Hindi Journalism Day. He said that Hindi journalism has made a significant contribution to achieving the country's independence. Today, Hindi journalism is performing wonderful work to strengthen democracy in the country. Celebrating Hindi Journalism Day is a tribute to all those journalists who dedicated their lives to Hindi journalism, said Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.
He said that Pandit Jugal Kishore Shukla is considered a pioneer of Hindi journalism. On May 30, 1826, he started Hindi journalism by publishing the weekly newspaper 'Udant Martand'. Following this newspaper, publications began in Hindi and other languages, becoming the voice of the nation in the field of mass communication. Thanks to these efforts, the fervor for independence spread among the masses, leading to the country's freedom on August 15, 1947, said Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.
The Governor said that the media, particularly Hindi journalism, acted as a weapon in achieving independence. He highlighted that while the press played a crucial role in gaining freedom, even today, Hindi journalism is fulfilling its responsibilities effectively. Hindi journalism serves as a strong bridge in communicating government welfare schemes to the people and conveying public issues to the government and administration, shared Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.
He further said that in the era of social media, the importance of Hindi journalism has increased further. Hindi is spoken in the largest geographical area of the country, making Hindi journalism an effective medium in mass communication. Today, many young people are building their futures in Hindi journalism in the fields of social media, print media, and electronic media, said Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.
