Honda Cars India has launched the facelifted version of its mid-size SUV, the Honda Elevate, in India on October 6. The updated SUV gets several changes to its exterior design, cabin and features, while the mechanical setup remains largely unchanged.
The facelifted Honda Elevate continues to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the outgoing model. Honda has made India the first market globally to receive the updated version of the SUV.
Pre-launch bookings for the facelifted Elevate had started at dealerships for an amount of ₹21,000. The company is expected to announce the official variant-wise prices at the launch event.
The outgoing Honda Elevate was priced from around ₹11.8 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of new features and styling updates, the facelifted model is expected to command a slightly higher price.
The starting price of the updated Elevate is expected to be around ₹12 lakh, although the final pricing will be confirmed by Honda.
The facelift brings updates to the SUV's exterior styling and cabin, along with additional features aimed at improving its appeal in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. However, Honda has retained the existing mechanical package rather than making major changes to the engine or underlying setup.
The updated Elevate will continue to compete in India's crowded mid-size SUV market, where it rivals models from Hyundai, Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Volkswagen.
