Seiren to invest over Rs 220 crore in Rohtak mega project, creating employment for more than 1,700 youth

A high-level delegation led by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, currently visiting Japan, today signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s renowned Seiren Company Limited. Under this agreement, Seiren will invest over Rs 220 crore in its mega project in Rohtak, which will generate employment opportunities for more than 1,700 youth. Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh was also present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that Seiren Company Limited is a global leader in textile solutions and advanced materials manufacturing, with its products catering to diverse sectors including automobiles, interiors, environmental protection, lifestyle, cosmetics, electronic components, sensors, and magnetic materials.
Saini said that India’s rapidly growing economy, youthful population, and vast market, combined with Japan’s technological expertise, manufacturing excellence, and financial strength, create immense opportunities for mutual progress. He said that Haryana has firmly established itself as a strong industrial and technology hub. The Chief Minister said that although Haryana accounts for only 1.3 percent of India’s geographical area, it contributes 3.6 percent to the national GDP. He added that Haryana has consistently been a preferred investment destination for Japanese multinational companies in India. The state is also a major contributor to India’s exports, achieving an export volume of approximately Rs 2.75 lakh crore in 2023–24.
Highlighting Haryana’s strength in the textile sector, the Chief Minister said that Haryana is home to over 2,000 textile units and is the second-largest contributor to India’s textile production, providing a strong foundation for the growth of synthetic and specialty textiles. He added that the state has a robust network of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and several skill development centres dedicated to textile manufacturing and related fields, ensuring a steady supply of skilled manpower. The Chief Minister said that the MoU signed with Seiren Company will further strengthen Haryana’s manufacturing ecosystem and generate significant employment opportunities for the youth.
He further said that this investment will energize Haryana’s manufacturing sector and reinforce the state’s position on the global industrial map. The use of cutting-edge technology will also foster industrial innovation and sustainable growth in the region.
