Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions over the alleged theft of donations and offerings from the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, demanding an explanation from the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government over the lack of action in the matter.
Kejriwal said the Ram Temple is a symbol of faith for millions of Hindus and that any irregularity involving donations made by devotees is a matter of serious concern. He questioned why no FIR has been registered so far and asked whom the government is trying to protect.
Sharing a video on social media platform X, the AAP leader claimed that reports suggest the disappearance of around ₹200 crore in cash donations along with several boxes containing diamonds and other valuables. He alleged that despite these claims, no concrete action has been taken by investigating agencies.
Kejriwal further said that neither the Uttar Pradesh Police nor central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have initiated any visible action. He noted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in power both at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh, yet no raids or proceedings against the alleged culprits have been reported.
The allegations have triggered a fresh political debate, with the AAP demanding a transparent investigation into the matter and accountability for any wrongdoing related to temple funds.
