Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that MLAs are public representatives elected by the public, they can get information about the development works of their area and other information from any officer. However, MLAs do not have executive power, so they cannot formally call a meeting of officials.
The Chief Minister was responding to the objection lodged by MLA Shri BB Batra regarding a letter issued by the Chief Secretary's office on August 25 during the winter session of Haryana Assembly here today.
Manohar Lal said that according to the above issued letter, MLAs can go to any government office and get information about the development works of their area from any officer. However, now one more sentence will be added to this letter that MLAs can call the officers to the rest house.
According to PLFS report, unemployment rate in Haryana was 5.2 percent in July-September 2023.
While giving information to the House on the unemployment figures given by the opposition in the state, the Chief Minister said that according to the report of Periodic Labor Force Survey (PLFS), the unemployment rate of Haryana during July-September, 2023 was 5.2 percent, whereas at the national level it was 5.2 percent. The figure is 6.6 percent. He said that during the same period, the unemployment rate in the neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh was 14.5 percent, in Punjab it was 8.8 percent and in Rajasthan it was 12 percent. He said that it is a matter of happiness for us that our government has been successful in reducing the unemployment rate.
Delimatation Commission has the right to determine the number of assembly seats and seats reserved for SC

CM said that only the Delimitation Commission has the right to determine the number of assembly seats and the number of seats reserved for Scheduled Castes in any state. No state government has any role in this. The Chief Minister was responding to the issue raised by MLA Ishwar Singh during the winter session of the Haryana Assembly here today on increasing the number of Assembly seats reserved for Scheduled Castes from 17 to 18 as per 20 percent population.
Manohar Lal said that in future, when the Delimitation Commission will be formed again, the opinion of the Haryana Assembly, its members and the State Government will be taken, at that time it was informed that the number of assembly seats reserved for Scheduled Castes will be according to 20 percent of the population. Will go. He said that in the upcoming Delimitation Commission, the number of assembly seats in Haryana is expected to increase from 90 to 112 according to the population and the number of assembly seats reserved for Scheduled Castes will be 22 according to 20 percent population. However, the final decision will be taken by the Delimitation Commission only.
