Shimla’s iconic Ridge Ground came alive with the vibrant spirit of Himachali folk culture and music on the third cultural evening of the International Shimla Summer Festival 2026, as celebrated folk singer Kuldeep Sharma, popularly known as the Nati King, enthralled thousands of spectators with his energetic performances.

Performing some of his most loved songs, including Kullu Manali Laga Mela, Roomtiya, Thande Pani Ra Nala O Balliye, Rohru Jana Meriye Aamiye, Shilpa Shimla Waliye, Pyari Neelima, Meri Monica, and Aate Jaande Seeti Maarde, Sharma kept the audience dancing late into the night. The Ridge echoed with traditional Nati dance and thunderous applause throughout the performance.

The festive atmosphere became even more lively when Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur and Shimla Urban MLA Harish Janartha joined the performers on stage, dancing the traditional Nati with the artists and celebrating the cultural event. Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the Summer Festival Organising Committee Anupam Kashyap was also present on the occasion.

Adding to the cultural showcase, the Dharamshala Group presented a traditional folk dance highlighting Himachali heritage, while Punjabi singer Bobby Sidhu, who participated through the North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala, entertained the audience with his musical performance, making the evening a memorable blend of Himachali and Punjabi culture.
