Tourist destinations packed with visitors, hotels and dhabas open 24 hours, celebrations to continue till midnight 

New Year celebrations have begun in full swing across the major tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Popular hill stations such as Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Kasauli and Dalhousie are witnessing a huge influx of tourists from across the country, all eager to welcome the New Year 2026 amid the scenic beauty of the mountains. The chill in the air has only added to the excitement, with music, lights and joy filling every corner.

In Shimla, Dharamshala and Dalhousie, special Winter Carnival programs are being organized, where tourists will dance and celebrate till midnight. Meanwhile, the tourist hub of Manali is alive with late-night DJ parties, live music performances and bonfire celebrations. Major hotels, resorts and cafes have arranged special New Year’s Eve events to offer visitors a memorable experience.

A special fireworks display has been planned in Dharamshala at midnight, which is expected to be a major attraction for visitors. To ensure convenience and comfort for tourists, hotels, dhabas and cafes will remain open 24 hours, allowing guests to enjoy the festivities without any hassle.

The heavy tourist turnout has also given a strong boost to the hospitality industry. Manali is witnessing the maximum rush, with around 90 percent of hotel rooms already booked in advance for the night. In Shimla, Kasauli and Dalhousie, nearly 75 percent of rooms are occupied, and the figure is expected to touch 90 percent by late evening. Along with city hotels, homestays in rural areas are also receiving a significant number of tourists. Overall, the New Year celebrations have infused fresh energy into tourism in Himachal Pradesh, with the mountains echoing with festive cheer and excitement.
