Nuh gets major development push as CM unveils projects worth Rs. 47.36Cr

Education, sports, solar power, water conservation and civic infrastructure receive focused boost at Sohna– Tauru rally

Marking a significant outreach in the Mewat region, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for projects worth Rs 47.36  crore for Nuh district. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stones and inaugurated these projects during the 'Viksit Sohna– Tauru Rally' held at the grain market in Tauru, in Nuh district.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister underscored the state government’s resolve to strengthen grassroots infrastructure and ensure balanced development across districts. The projects unveiled include education, sports infrastructure, renewable energy, water conservation and civic amenities, reflecting the state government’s multi-sector approach to regional growth.

Foundation stones laid for projects worth Rs 25.58 crore

The Chief Minister laid the foundation for five key projects amounting to over Rs 25.58 crore. These include the construction of village libraries in 10 villages at a cost of Rs 2.62 crore through MDA, a state-of-the-art District Library-cum-Excellence Centre in Nuh to be built at an estimated Rs 15.46 crore and a residential facility for the CEO of MDA costing around Rs 2.25 crore.

In addition, conservation and restoration works will be undertaken at the Maqbara complex with an outlay of approximately Rs 2.25 crore, while Rs 3 crore has been earmarked for the redevelopment of a stadium in village Jhamuwas to strengthen sports infrastructure at the grassroots level.

Projects worth Rs 21.27 crore Inaugurated

Besides these projects, the Chief Minister also inaugurated projects worth Rs 21.27 crore. These include playgrounds developed in nearly 25 government schools in the district at a cost of about Rs 1.37 crore. In a significant step towards ecological sustainability, three earthen dams/water harvesting structures and seven crate-wire structures have been constructed in the Aravalli protected forest area at a cost of Rs 1.73 crore. Besides this, promoting green energy adoption, hybrid solar power plants costing Rs 4.92 crore have been installed across 40 government schools, 17 Primary Health Centres and 6 Community Health Centres in the district.

Furthermore, to enhance academic competitiveness among youth in the Mewat region, a dedicated NEET/JEE coaching centre has been set up in village Madhi (Nagina block) at a cost of Rs 2 crore. Further strengthening monitoring in schools, a facial biometric attendance system worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore has been installed in government schools across the district.

The development package also focuses strongly on strengthening educational and market infrastructure in Tauru. Six new classrooms have been constructed at HLG Government College, Tauru, at a cost of Rs 1 crore, enhancing higher education facilities for local students. To support farmers and visitors at the Tauru grain market, an Atal Kisan Canteen has been established at Tauru Mandi with an investment of Rs 24 lakh. Additionally, significant infrastructure upgradation has been undertaken at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Tauru, with M3M contributing Rs 3.65 crore towards the development of modern facilities.

Urban and rural civic amenities have also received major attention under the initiative. A pond has been developed in Ward No. 9 of Tauru at a cost of Rs 1.90 crore, improving both water management and the local environment. In Sohna, the prominent Fawwara Chowk has been renovated and beautified with an outlay of Rs 1.95 crore, enhancing the town’s aesthetic appeal and public convenience. Furthermore, key infrastructure strengthening works have been carried out in village Sejawas in Sohna, contributing to overall rural development in the region.
