Delhi Police Special Cell arrests nine alleged operatives during “Gang Bust Operation 2.0”; suspects reportedly shared reconnaissance photos and videos with handlers in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI allegedly plotted attacks on a historic temple in Delhi, a popular dhaba on the Delhi-Sonipat highway, and a military camp in Haryana, according to sources quoted by PTI on Friday.

The revelations surfaced during the interrogation of nine alleged operatives arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell under “Gang Bust Operation 2.0” across multiple states.

Investigators said one of the accused had conducted reconnaissance of a historic temple in Delhi and sent photographs of the premises to Pakistan-based handlers through social media platforms. The module allegedly planned to target police personnel and paramilitary forces deployed at the temple by opening fire to create panic and disruption.

The accused were also allegedly tasked with carrying out a grenade attack at a well-known dhaba on the Delhi-Sonipat highway. Officials said the location witnesses heavy daily footfall, and an attack there could have caused large-scale casualties and damage.

Sources further revealed that a military camp in Hisar, Haryana, was also surveyed by the suspects. Videos of the area were reportedly shared with handlers across the border.

According to investigators, some police stations in Uttar Pradesh were also on the ISI’s target list as part of the alleged conspiracy. Authorities are continuing the probe to identify the wider network and possible links to terror modules operating from Pakistan.
