Pakistan troubled by Punjab Govt’s campaign against drugs - Meet Hayer

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh:

The grenade attack in Rasulpur, Jalandhar, has sparked a sharp reaction from the AAP. Party MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said Pakistan is troubled by the Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign. This is why it is trying to disrupt peace in Punjab.

Meet Hayer said the Punjab government’s campaign against drug traffickers, ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh,’ has broken the drug nexus in Punjab, causing trouble for Pakistan’s drug mafia. He said the situation today has reached the point where no one on this side even picks up drugs coming from across the border.

MP Malvinder Singh Kang said Pakistan is worried about why drugs menace is being eradicated in Punjab. A recent example is Shehzad Bhatti taking responsibility for the grenade attack. This reveals Pakistan’s conspiracy. He said that due to the Punjab government’s actions, the flow of drugs and illegal weapons from Pakistan has completely stopped, prompting them to carry out such incidents.

Kang criticized the BJP in this matter and said Shehzad Bhatti is the same person whose video with Lawrence Bishnoi went viral on social media recently.
