PCC intensifies signature campaign against ‘vote chori’

Explains to people how BJP steals their mandate

Punjab Newsline, Roper-

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today intensified the signature campaign against the‘vote-chori ’ from here today.
Accompanied by senior party leader and former Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Rana KP Singh and other senior leaders, Warring went to different, places, markets and residential areas explaining to people how the BJP was committing the vote theft and stealing their mandate.
Later in an informal interaction with reporters, Warring said that people were quite convinced after he explained to them how the BJP in collusion with the Election Commission of India was stealing their votes and mandate in multiple ways. He said, people were forthcoming and willing to sign the forms to be submitted to the ECI against the ‘vote chori’.
He cited the cases of two constituencies in Karnataka where votes were deleted and added stealthily by the BJP. He noted that Rahul Gandhi had presented foolproof evidence about both the constituencies.
The PCC president said, now the BJP has come out with a new scheme of vote theft by bringing in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. He said, with this scheme the BJP was arbitrarily deleting the names of voters whom it thought will not vote for it like those of the SCs, the STs, BCs and the minorities.
Warring cautioned people against such machinations and told them to be alert lest their names also get deleted from the electoral rolls.
He said, the PCC will be submitting 15 lakh signatures as part of the 5 crore signatures to be submitted to the Election Commission of India by the Congress party on October 15.
