Eight Times the Number of Candidates to Compete for 5,000 Posts

HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh stated that for the 5,000 male constable (general duty) posts in Haryana Police, a total of eight times the number of candidates will undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). In the first phase, a schedule for six times the number of candidates has been released. According to this schedule, PMT started on July 16, 2024, at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Sector-3, Panchkula district, and will continue until July 23. On the first day, 2,000 candidates were called, while from July 18, 5,000 candidates will be called daily for the PMT.
Himmat Singh elaborated that approximately 40,000 candidates will undergo the PMT at the rate of eight times the number of posts. Following this, a PMT schedule for 1,000 posts of female constable (general duty) will also be released. Eight times the number of candidates relative to the number of posts will be called for the PMT, he added.He mentioned that complete transparency is being maintained in the PMT, ensuring that no candidate is replaced by someone else.
