CHANDIGARH: A 52 year old property dealer identified as Balbir Singh was shot dead on Saturday over a land dispute with two businessmen.
The two groups clashed in village Ranimajra near Mullaapur after heated exchange of abuses. Parminder Singh 32, an associate of Balbir Singh was injured seriously who is admitted in PGI Chandigarh.
According to police, Balbir Singh had purchased a 1.5 kanal plot to build office of his property firm. Two other businessmen Pindi and Jassi claimed their share in the land. Pindi and Jassi fired at Balbir Singh and a bullet hit chest of the deceased and bullet hit head of Parminder Singh.
Police has registered a case of murder under section 302 of IPC and accused are on the run.
