Railway Gate No. 120 SPL, located in Dhakoli between Ghaggar and Chandigarh Railway Station, will remain temporarily closed for approximately 58 hours due to emergency track repair and maintenance work.
The closure is expected to affect thousands of commuters traveling to and from Dhakoli, Peer Muchalla, Baltana, Zirakpur, and Panchkula, forcing motorists to use alternative routes during the repair period.
The Railway Department has informed the local administration and traffic police about the closure. Officials said extensive repair and maintenance work will be carried out on the railway track to ensure safety and the smooth operation of train services.
To prevent any accidents during the maintenance work, authorities have decided to keep the railway crossing completely closed throughout the repair period.
The administration has urged residents and commuters to plan their journeys in advance and follow traffic advisories issued by the traffic police to avoid inconvenience and congestion on alternate routes.
