Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, July 28-
HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh said that the commission is utilising information technology extensively to facilitate candidates and to ensure fairness and transparency in all government recruitment processes. The recruitment process for approximately 50,000 posts will be completed soon.
The Chairman said that on July 27, results for 7,416 TGT posts were announced, and as soon as the government informs the commission about the vacancies in various departments, advertisements for the recruitment process for these positions will be published accordingly. With the use of IT, candidates will be required to apply online. Information about the posts, as per the demands of government departments, will be uploaded on the website, and the qualified candidates will have to choose their category options, he added.
He stated that the commission is taking prompt action on the reports submitted by candidates. The entire process has been streamlined, and now candidates' reports are recorded in computers located in the reception area and assigned a serial number, which is then communicated to the candidate. Apart from this, candidates are informed about the actions taken on their reports and the progress via their mobile phones.
