Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the athletes of the state for their outstanding performance in the 24th National Para Athletics Championship-2026, where Haryana emerged as the overall champion.
The Chief Minister said that in the national competition held from March 17 to 21 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar (Odisha), para athletes from Haryana brought immense pride to the state by winning a total of 95 medals. This remarkable achievement includes 39 gold, 31 silver, and 25 bronze medals, reflecting the athletes’ hard work, dedication, and indomitable spirit.
Saini said that this proud accomplishment not only strengthens Haryana’s leading position in the field of sports but also serves as a powerful example of the confidence and capabilities of para athletes. He specially appreciated all the athletes, coaches, and support staff for this historic success.
He further said that Haryana athletes outperformed competitors from other states to secure the top position in the championship. The state government remains continuously committed to the development of sports and to providing better facilities to athletes. Special focus is being given to para athletes through training, modern infrastructure, and incentive schemes, enabling them to excel at national and international levels.
Expressing confidence, the Chief Minister said that Haryana’s athletes will continue to bring laurels to the state and the nation in the future and will serve as an inspiration for the coming generations.
