Industries and Commerce, Investment Promotion, Power and NRI Affairs Minister Punjab Sanjeev Arora and Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian, on Thursday met with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in Goa to extend a formal invitation for the upcoming events commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji (Shaheedi Purab).
During the meeting, Cabinet Ministers shared reverence for the sacrifices made by the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, who is widely revered as 'Hind Di Chadar' for his selfless sacrifice to protect religious freedom and human rights.
The Cabinet Ministers Arora and Khudian personally handed over the invitation to the Chief Minister Goa, outlining the series of grand commemorative events being organized by the Punjab Government. These events are scheduled to take place at various historically significant locations, with the primary focus on observance the life, teachings, and unparalleled sacrifice of the Guru.
Cabinet Ministers said that these events will be organised to remember Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji supreme sacrifice to protect the freedom of human and secular values. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Ji martyrdom is not just a part of Sikh history, it is a message of freedom, tolerance and justice for all of humanity.
