The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to honour Sikh students who achieve success in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations. The committee has given in-principle approval to this proposal.
Under this initiative, each successful candidate will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the organisation has been continuously working to motivate Sikh youth to pursue competitive examinations for administrative services. He added that the aim is to see more Sikh youth reach higher administrative positions and contribute to the service of society and humanity.
