After being removed from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), MP Raghav Chadha has issued his first reaction. He released a video message stating, “My message to the common man is that I have been silenced, not defeated.”
Raghav Chadha said that whenever he gets an opportunity to speak in Parliament, he raises issues concerning the public. “Perhaps I bring up topics that are not usually discussed in Parliament. But is raising public issues a crime? Have I committed any wrongdoing? Have I done something wrong?” he questioned.
He further said that he is raising these questions because the Aam Aadmi Party has reportedly informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to restrict him from speaking. “Yes, the AAP has informed Parliament that I should not be given an opportunity to speak. Why would anyone want to silence me? Whenever I speak, I speak for the common man of this country,” Chadha added.
