A deeply tragic and shocking incident has come to light from the Dwarka area of the national capital. A 26-year-old female officer, Nazia Khanam, posted as an Assistant Section Officer (ASO) in the Ministry of Defence, died under suspicious circumstances. Nazia's body was recovered from her flat in Dwarka, triggering widespread shock across the locality.

Upon receiving information, a local police team arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated legal proceedings. According to available information, Nazia Khanam was married just 7 months ago. Her sudden and suspicious death within such a brief period has raised several questions. The deceased's family members have leveled serious allegations against her husband and in-laws, accusing them of dowry harassment and mental torture.

The relatives claim that Nazia was subjected to continuous harassment following her marriage, ultimately compelling her to take this step.Based on the written complaint from the family and initial findings, the Dwarka Police Station acted immediately.

Police have registered an FIR against the deceased's husband and in-laws under relevant sections of the law pertaining to dowry harassment and abetment to suicide. Given the sensitive nature of the case, police are investigating all possible angles. A forensic team inspected the scene to gather necessary evidence.

Police officials stated that the exact cause of death will be determined once the autopsy report is received. Currently, police are questioning the husband and in-laws, and a detailed investigation is underway. The incident has caused deep grief across administrative circles of the Ministry of Defence and among local residents.
