Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-
Haryana's Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said the priority of the state government is to ensure all facilities for the general public and give a transparent administration. He said earlier, he had instructed the Haryana State Pollution Control Board officials to take action against illegally operated Ready-to-Mixture (RMC) plants in Gurugram district as per rules and seal them. But it has come to notice that despite departmental action, some RMC plants are operating even after being sealed. He directed that the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and DHBVN officials should jointly take action against such illegal RMCs.
The Industry Minister was speaking during a review meeting with officials of the DHBVN and Pollution Control Board in Gurugram on Tuesday regarding departmental works in the district, action on illegal activities and strengthening of infrastructure.
He said whenever any illegal RMC plant is sealed by the Pollution Control Board, the electricity department should cut its power connection with immediate effect, so that a strong message is sent to those who violate the rules.
He gave strict instructions to the department to quickly fix the hanging wires on all major roads to keep the traffic system of Gurugram smooth. He said these wires increase the possibility of accidents during the rainy season. Apart from this, he directed that the electric poles in the middle of the roads, or the electric poles built in residential population in rural areas, should be shifted as per the rules. He said this work is very important from the point of view of both the safety and convenience of the citizens.
Rao Narbir Singh, while giving instructions, said the old and dilapidated wires in the fields should be replaced in a phased manner. He said regular monitoring of departmental works should be ensured and all works should be completed as per the prescribed standards and time. He also warned the departmental officials that if laxity or negligence is found at any level, strict action will be taken.
