PWD to construct road at a cost of Rs. 53.91Cr, Road from Dariyapur Mod to Jind to also be widened

As a result of the continuous efforts of Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar, development works in Panipat district and surrounding areas are progressing rapidly. In this sequence, the road construction project from Panipat to Jind has received fresh approval. The tender process for this project was initiated during the HPPC meeting held on December 27, 2025 under the chairmanship of CM Nayab Singh Saini.
Panwar said that the renovation work of the Panipat–Jind road will be carried out in two phases. He said that an amount of Rs. 53.91 crore will be spent on the construction of a four-lane road from Panipat to Dariyapur Mod. The length of this four-lane stretch from Panipat to Dariyapur Mod will be approximately 25 kilometers.
He further said that widening work of the road from Dariyapur Mod to Jind will be carried out at a cost of Rs. 59.48 crore. The length of this stretch will be approximately 50 kilometers.The Minister said that drains will also be constructed alongside the road as per requirement to ensure proper water drainage, so that there is no problem of waterlogging during the rainy season. An additional amount will be spent for this purpose.
He said that upon completion of this important project, people of Israna Assembly constituency in Panipat district, Safidon in Jind district, and Assandh constituency in Karnal district will benefit. The project will improve connectivity and give a boost to trade and economic activities in the region.
