Meeting with Rice Millers and Dealers Association: Dr. Sumita Misra Discusses Software Training and Industry Concerns

Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, Dr. Sumita Misra said that training sessions will be conducted at the district level for all rice millers and dealers to familiarize them with the Wings software. This initiative aims to facilitate the rice millers for smoother operation and prevent any issues in the future.
Dr. Sumita Misra said this during a meeting held with representatives of Rice Millers and Dealers Association of Haryana yesterday. The meeting also included the presence of District Food Supply Controllers from various districts, Mr. J Ganesan, Managing Director of HAFED, Mrs. Sharandeep Kaur Brar, General Manager (Region) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office, Haryana and Mr. Mukul Kumar, Director , Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
Dr. Misra assured that any problems encountered with the Wings software would be investigated by the technical issues team and promptly resolved. The meeting involved discussions on various provisions of the Government of India, and the association expressed its intention to initiate food delivery CMR soon.
Responding to the Rice Millers and Dealers Association's request regarding the Automatic Grain Analyser, Dr. Sumita Misra directed the officers to re-examine the matter. She also suggested a review of the CMR delivery schedule due to delays and assured necessary actions would be taken promptly. The General Manager (Region) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office, Haryana clarified that the integration of VL TD into the minimum threshold parameters for vehicles transporting food grains and delivering CMR is a directive from the Government of India. Additionally, District Food Supply Controllers were instructed to prioritize the addition of vehicle details to the portal.
Furthermore, instructions were issued to investigate unloading and stacking charges, as well as paddy drying charges, with the directive to take necessary actions accordingly. The General Manager (Region) at the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office, Haryana addressed the request from rice millers to fix the number of stacks based on their milling capacity is under consideration and will be implemented shortly.
