Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij said that the successful conduct of the Common Entrance Test (CET) exam has been possible due to the cooperative spirit of officers, employees of all departments, and the candidates. Early in the morning, he appreciated the roadways bus drivers who were on duty from 5 a.m.
Vij also interacted with media persons after inspecting the arrangements made by the Transport Department at Ambala Cantt bus stand for the conduct of the CET exam.
The Transport Minister said that providing safe and timely bus services to CET candidates along with ensuring transport facilities for the general public was a big task. As it is the Teej festival and also a weekend (Saturday and Sunday), most people prefer to travel to and from their homes using public transport. We ensured that besides CET candidates, common passengers were also taken care of. He added that he personally interacted with several candidates, and their happy faces reflected that they were fully satisfied with the transport arrangements.
The Minister said that the Transport Department staff had been on duty since 5 a.m. and had done commendable work. All officers and employees are sincerely performing their duties to successfully conduct the CET exam.
Later, he boarded a bus to interact with the candidates and enquired about their exam experience. After this, the Transport Minister also went to the reception of the Ambala Cantt bus stand, checked the staff attendance register, and found everything satisfactory. Similarly, he inspected the public service Roti Bank at the bus stand and found that a meal was being provided to candidates and the general public at just Rs. 5, which was appreciated by everyone.
