Two SGPC employees who misbehaved with an elderly devotee in Harmandir Sahib were suspended

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has suspended two employees who misbehaved with an elderly devotee during the seva of Palki Sahib at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. He has also ordered to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

Giving information, Pratap Singh Secretary of SGPC said that during the seva of Palki Sahib, a devotee crossed the barricade and came to the side of Palki Sahib, after the video of which went viral, the Shiromani Committee during the preliminary investigation captured two employees who misbehaved with that devotee. has been suspended with immediate effect.

Among the suspended employees are Bhai Kulwinder Singh Sewadar and Bhai Inderjit Singh Sewadar.
He said that although the elderly devotee interfered with the arrangement by forcibly violating the restrictions set during the service of Palki Sahib and had an argument with the attendants, but still he has been suspended due to the improper behavior of the attendants while removing the devotee. Pratap Singh said that respect for society is very important.

He said that although in the footage of the CCTV camera, the elderly devotee is seen crossing the baricade openly and arguing with the attendants present on duty, but still misbehavior with any devotee cannot be tolerated. He also appealed to the Sangat to cooperate in the arrangements of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
