Warring condemns Sirhind blast; Says, last straw on AAP’s back

Asserts, Congress will not let Punjab to be pushed back into dark era
Ominous signs for Punjab

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned the blast on the railway track near Sirhind last night. He said, this was a clear failure of the Aam Aadmi Party government and the police, which have presided over the complete collapse of law and order in the state. “This is an ominous sign and does not portend well for Punjab”, he warned.
Reacting to Friday’s late night blast, Warring said, the Congress has continuously been warning the AAP government against the threat to peace and law and order in the state. “People of the state are already living in an atmosphere of fear of the gangsters and now there is the terror of blasts that brings back the harsh memories of the dark era in Punjab”, he added, while noting, the use of RDX in the blast suggests that those behind it were up to something big and dangerous.
The PCC asserted that only the Congress can safeguard the lives and property of people as it has the proven record. "I assure everyone on behalf of my party that we will not let anyone to push Punjab into the dark era once again", he said, while adding, "the AAP has proved that it is not competent enough to do that".
The PCC president said that the AAP government’s priority has never been peace and law and order in Punjab, but only publicity, that is its only means of survival. He said the random arrests of people in the anti-gangster drive have not yielded anything on the ground.
“No matter how many arrests you claim to have made, your claims have been literally blasted in Sirhind on Friday night”, Warring told the government, while adding, the government has completely failed. He said, the Sirhind blast will prove to be the proverbial last straw on the AAP’s back and it is bound to collapse.
He pointed out, the blast took place when the AAP government was claiming massive on field operations against the gangsters. “This means police and intelligence personnel would be on the ground and still a blast took place”, he pointed out, while asserting that earlier the gangsters had no fear of law, now the anti-national elements seem to have taken the queue realising that the AAP government in Punjab is too incompetent, inefficient, weak and spineless to take any action.
