According to the police, this woman, who was Miss Chandigarh, is a lawyer by profession and she won the Mrs. Chandigarh award in the age group above 40 years in 2019.

This is how the cheating game started

Police investigation so far has revealed that the accused woman along with her husband started the immigration business. They opened their office in Sector 105 Mohali and from there they used to talk to people about sending them abroad. Apart from immigration, it has also come to light that this woman used to cheat in another way. Accused Arpana has cheated a woman from Derabassi of five lakh rupees by luring her to get her child admitted in a private school in Sector 26, Chandigarh. This woman, a lawyer by profession, used to threaten to implicate them in a case when someone asked for the money back from her.

This was recovered from the woman

During the police investigation, gold biscuits of 100 grams each were recovered from the accused woman. This is the same money that this woman had used to buy gold biscuits. Apart from this, Rs 7 lakh cash and a car were also recovered from the fraud woman. On the other hand,

Mohali SHO Gagandeep Singh has said that the amount of fraud may increase. For this, the bank accounts of the accused woman are also being checked.
