Aim of state government is to make ‘yoga-yukt, nasha-mukt’ Haryana: CM

A Yoga Protocol Training Camp, jointly organized by the Haryana Yog Aayog, Haryana Legislative Assembly, and AYUSH Department, was successfully held today at the Haryana Legislative Assembly premises. The training, in preparation for International Yoga Day 2025, included 15 Haryana MLAs and a number of Assembly officers and employees. Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini attended the programme as the chief guest.
The programme started with lighting of lamp and chanting of Vedic mantras. Addressing the programme, Saini, underlining the importance of yoga, said the objective of the state government is to create a ‘yoga-yukt, nasha-mukt and yogamay Haryana’. The 11th International Yoga Day is being celebrated nationwide as a major festival this year. In Haryana, celebrations commenced 25 days ago with a Yoga Mahotsav inaugurated on May 27. Subsequently, various departments, institutions, and armed and paramilitary forces are being integrated into the events to raise public awareness about health promotion.
He said it is a matter of good fortune for us that on June 21, yoga practice will be done with the participation of more than 1 lakh people at the Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra under the guidance of Yoga Rishi Swami Ramdev.
Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Krishna Lal Middha said we should adopt yoga in our daily routine. On June 21, lakhs of citizens from all over the state will be a part of this health campaign.
The IDY Yoga Protocol Training Programme was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Jaideep Arya, Chairman, Haryana Yog Aayog. The protocol training was conducted by Dr. Rajkumar, Registrar, Haryana Yog Aayog, in which Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and Priyanka were present on the stage as yoga instructors. Along with this, Yogasana Bharat players Dev and Abhay gave a wonderful presentation of yogasana. The practice of protocol training started with prayer and concluded with Shanti Paath after subtle exercise, asanas, pranayama and meditation.
Vice-President of Haryana Yog Aaoyog Dr. Roshan Lal, Director General of AYUSH Department Sh. Sanjeev Verma and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
